- This Spencer Sporting Rifle is one of the first 200 of 1,800 Sporting Rifles made from M1860 Army Rifle Receivers. This accounts for the re-blued look of the receiver. It is, in fact, original finish. This gun is equipped with the Spencer "cutoff"; original front, rear, and tang sights, standard trigger, and round barrel. The 1105 serial number puts the receiver in the very first few M1860's made under Army contract. This gun was originally produced on Special Order only, and was too expensive for most sportsmen to afford.
- Condition: NRA Antique Fine. Barrel shows some light pitting, but lands are sharp, and should be a good shooter.
